Uploader's Notes: Son of William Cawthra Crowther and Kate Maria Crowther (nee Lee); older brother of Second Lieutenant Stanley Lorne Crowther of the Royal Flying Corps who died September 20, 1917.Suffered a general nervous breakdown in May 1916 while seconded to the 1st Brigade Headquarters, and returned to Canada to recover. He returned to service in September 1916 and was initially posted to the 12th Reserve Battalion before being reassigned to the 3rd Battalion
