Son of Archibald Dunbar Taylor and Isobel Churchill Craigie Taylor, of 3585, 3rd Avenue West, Kerrisdale, Vancouver, British Columbia.

The war diary states that this man was killed whilst in charge of the digging of a trench 100yards in front of the front line at Pozieres. The trench was being dug by A and B companies. The enemy thought an attack was being carried out and bombarded the area where the men were. This was on the 11th September 1916.
