Uploader's Research notes:
on 2/3 Jun 1916 the Bn was located in trenches near Maple Copse and Observatory Ridge near Hill 62...there was firece fighting along that front and the Bn suffered 379 casuaklties in 48 hours. Alexander was one of the casualties, his body was not recovered.
