Son of William G. Alexander, of Henton, Suffolk, England; husband of Charlotte E. Alexander, of 16, Albert Avenue, Mimico Beach, Ontario.

PTE. WILLIAM GEORGE ALEXANDER, Port Credit, is among the list as killed, but his wife is still hoping that he may be alive. She bases her hope on the wording of the telegram from Ottawa, which reads: "Reported killed in action," instead of the usual "Killed in action." Pte. Alexander was born in Suffolk, England, but has lived here for the past three years. He enlisted with a second contingent battalion, and was previously employed at the Starch factory and Lakeview Golf Club, Port Credit.
