Uploader's Notes: Pte Wilder was born on 25 August 1892 at Parry Sound, Ontario. Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wilder, of Haileybury, Ontario. He was single and listed his civilian occupation as prospector. Enlisted at Niagara Camp, Ontario on 4 August 1915. Sailed from Halifax to England on the Empress of Britain on 23 April 1916, joining the 76th Battalion. He transferred to the 20th Battalion on 20 June 1916. He remained with that Battalion until his death. - - Pte Wilder is commemorated on a memorial in Magnetawan, Ontario having made the supreme sacrifice.
