This man had served in the 69th Calgary 103 Rifles for 2 years.

The battalion war diary states that this man was killed by rifle fire whilst in Victoire Crater. The diary also states that the crater was bombarded by the enemy and also the Canadians bombarded the front lip of the crater but neither caused any casualties.
