February 03, 1916, promoted to Lance Corporal.
Sailed with the 90th Battalion aboard SS Olympic from Halifax to Liverpool, June 02-08, 1916. The battalion was posted to Dibgate Camp, Shorncliffe, on arrival.

He was reporting Missing in Action after the attack on Vimy Ridge on April 09, 1917. On September 11 he was reported Missing in Action, Presumed Killed in Action as of April 09, 1917.
