[Private Army Canadian Infantry 90th Battalion

February 03, 1916, promoted to Lance Corporal.

Sailed with the 90th Battalion aboard SS Olympic from Halifax to Liverpool, June 02-08, 1916. The battalion was posted to Dibgate Camp, Shorncliffe, on arrival.

Lance Corporal Army Canadian Infantry 11th Reserve Battalion Corporal Army Canadian Infantry 78th Battalion

Reverted to Private and proceeded to France on being posted. Attached to Canadian Base Depot, Havre on arrival in France.

Joined the 78th Battalion in billets at Eperleques on September 29. Appointed Acting Lance Corporal on December 06.

January 25, 1917 was attached to the 12th Infantry Brigade Wiring Party. Appointed Acting Corporal on February 03. He rejoined the 78th Battalion at Verdrel on March 02. Confirmed in rank of Corporal on April 07.

He was reporting Missing in Action after the attack on Vimy Ridge on April 09, 1917. On September 11 he was reported Missing in Action, Presumed Killed in Action as of April 09, 1917.
