[Private Army Canadian Infantry 17th Reserve Battalion Private Army Canadian Infantry 101st Battalion Signals Section Sailed with 101st Battalion aboard SS Olympic from Halifax to Liverpool, June 28 to July 06, 1916. The battalion was posted to East Sandling Camp on arrival in England. Private Army Canadian Infantry 85th Battalion

Proceeded to France on March 16, and attached to the Canadian Base Depot on arrival. Attached to the 4th Entrenching Battalion three days later.

Joined the 85th Battalion at Bouvigny Huts on April 05. Killed in action during the assault on Hill 145. His body was believed buried at Number Two Canadian Cemetery, Neuville St Vaast, but could not be located or identified later.
