[Private Army Canadian Infantry 44th Battalion D Company Sailed with the 44th Battalion aboard SS Lapland from Halifax to Plymouth, October 23-30, 1915. The battalion was posted to Otterpool on arrival. Private Army Canadian Infantry 27th Battalion

Proceeded to France on being posted. Attached to the Canadian Base Depot, Havre on arrival in France. Joined the 27th Battalion at Dickebusch on May 06. Attended a Lewis gun operator's course from August 12-19.

He was seen to be killed during the attack on Courcelette on September 15, but his body was not recovered.
