Circumstances of Death Register
During an attack in the vicinity of Paviland Wood, after having reached the objective and about to consolidate, he was hit in the thigh by a piece of enemy shrapnel which penetrated his stomach. The would was quickly and carefully dressed, but he succumbed in a few minutes.
