Uploader's Notes: Son of James and Elizabeth Pellant of 10 Hill St., St. Albans, Herts, England. CEF Burial Registers - Previously reported Missing now Killed in Action. While his Battalion was being relieved from the trenches in the Arleux Loop, north of Fresnoy, on the night of May 8th, 1917, he was instantly killed by the explosion of an enemy shell. The enemy attacked while the relief was in progress and it was impossible to recover his body.
