June 3, 2017 Toronto Star newspaper article confirms the recovery of this soldier and plans for proper burial at Loos British Cemetery. His remains were said to have been discovered on June 6, 2016 near the village of Vendin-le-Vieil that was the site of the battle for Hill 70 during August 1917.
