on a raid at 11:00 p.m. the raid was a complete success. Some particularly gallant work being done by "D" Company raiding party, under Capt. A. W. Baird, who with two scouts and two runners, in hand to hand fighting killed five of the enemy and secured one wounded, and one unwounded prisoner. Casualties: 1 other rank killed, two Officers and eight other ranks wounded.
