[Private Army Canadian Infantry 188th Battalion Trained at Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and Camp Hughes, Manitoba. Sailed with the 188th Battalion aboard SS Olympic from Halifax to Liverpool, October 12-19, 1916. The battalion was posted to Westenhanger Camp on arrival.
Private Army Canadian Infantry M.D. No. 12 Depot Recruiting Area C Private Army Canadian Infantry 46th Battalion Attached to the Canadian Base Detail on arrival at Havre, France on December 01, 1916. Attached to the 4th Entrenching Battalion from December 21, 1916 to March 01, 1917. Joined the 46th Battalion in the field at Carency the following day. Killed in action during an attack on a strong point known as The Triangle, near La Coulotte, France on May 05, 1917.
