The Gordon family placed a double memorial plaque for their two sons in All Saints' Church (1872), 315 Dundas Street East, Toronto. This memorial was dedicated to Captain Maitland Lockhart Gordon, Gordon Highlanders, who was killed in action while leading an attack on the German trenches at Bullecourt, France on May 7th, 1917. On the other half of this memorial, the tribute to Captain Walter Leslie Lockhart Gordon reads:

2nd Battalion, First Canadian Divison.
Killed in Action while leading an
attack on the German trenches at
Langemarck, Belgium, 23rd April, 1915.
Aged 24 years.

The names of both brothers also appear on a memorial tablet at All Saints dedicated to parishioners who lost their lives in the war. This tablet was placed near the altar in 1922.

Captain W. L. L. Gordon was educated at the Toronto Church School, Bishop Ridley College, and the Royal Military College. He won the Sword of Honour in his last year. He had qualified for the bar (Osgoode Hall, Toronto) in his last year. His name also appears on the Osgoode Hall War Memorial in Toronto as well as the Royal Canadian Yacht Club War Memorial.
