Son of A. Rogers Matthews and Barbara Annie Matthews, of Campbellton, New Brunswick.
The RCR War Diary notes that 2 ORs were KIA on 30/31 Oct 17....it is very likelythat the two fellows were John Matthews and Wilmer Mather - both of the Miramichi, both memorialized on the Menin Gate as neither of their bodies were recovered or identified.
