From "Letters from the Front" :

Lieutenant. Born 8th May, 1887. Father, Rev. G. H. B. Mogg. Entered the service of the Bank, 7th August, 1906. Enlisted, December, 1914, from Seattle branch, in 48th Canadian Battalion, with the rank of Lieutenant. Transferred to 7th Canadian Battalion, and subsequently to 1st Canadian Trench Mortar Battery.
Killed in Action, 11th November, 1917.
"An exceptionally capable and gallant officer. He is a great loss to us." His Commanding Officer.
"He was very much liked, respected, and looked up to as a soldier by the officers and men of his company, and we all regret the loss of a true friend and a good soldier."—A Brother Officer.
