Son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sobey, of Maple Glen, New Brunswick. 5 CMR suffered 395 casualties during the last few days of Oct 1917, many of the deaths were due to artillery fire.
Charles remains were not identified or recovered.......so his body either lies in a grave marked "known unto God" or it has been mixed into the black Flander soil
