The Bn suffer 371 ORs killed or wounded on 30 Oct 1917, duringtheir attack on "Vienna Cottages" during the battle for Passchendaele. Evertte's body was not recovered.the Menin Gate. The 85th memorial at Passchendaele lists him as "Ernest Wentzell"
