Uploader's Notes: Son of the late John and Mary Elizabeth (Lamonby) Andrew, of Manchester, England. A 15 year old John Andrew leaves Liverpool England on 12 April 1912 and arrives in Halifax Nova Scotia 20 April 1912 aboard the Victorian sent by Rev Robert Walker of Annie Macpherson for the Belleville Ontario Marchmont Home for furtherance to Peterborough Ontario.. On 1 November 1915 John Andrew joins the 93rd Peterborough Headquartered Canadian Infantry Battalion which officially starts up on 22 December 1915. On 15 July 1916 this 93rd Battalion is in England and John Andrew is transferred to the 19th Central Ontario Canadian Infantry Battalion on 16 September 1916. On 5 February 1917 John Andrew is promoted to Lance Corporal . On 9 April 1917 Home Child John Andrew is killed during an Attack on Vimy Ridge.
