Son of Mrs. Mary Jane Williams, of Harveysburg, Warren County, Ohio.
The No. 2 Construction Battalion (an all Black battaion) served in France with the majority of the men being assigned to the No. 5 Canadian Forestry Corps (Jura Group); however, several men where also sent to serve with the Canadian Railway Troops.
