Globe and Mail article November 6, 1918 Page 8 states he died in London, England on November 3, 1918 of pneumonia and that his rank was Captain
Although both the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the Canadian Virtual War Memorial indicate that Henderson was serving with the 2nd CMR at the time of his death, there is no evidence in his service file that he ever served with them. He was serving with the Royal Air Force as an Observer, attached from the 1st Central Ontario Regimental Depot at the time of his death
