Father, William James Glasgow, Clerk of Union, Cookstown. Educated at Cookstown Academy and London University. Entered the service of the Bank, 9th December, 1912. Enlisted, 8th September, 1914, from Wadena branch, in 16th Canadian Light Horse, with the rank of Private. Transferred to 10th Canadian Battalion, 26th April, 1915. Promoted Lance-Corporal, August, 1917; Corporal, September, 1917; Lieutenant, January, 1918. Principal actions: Festubert, Ypres, 1915; Somme, Lens, 1916; Arras, Cambrai, 1918. Wounded in the thigh, 15th October, 1916; in the hand, 27th September, 1918
