Pte. David Brodie was buried at Prospect Cemetery, St. Clair Av. West, Toronto, Ont. A special Veterans' plot was set aside in this cemetery in 1917 to be used for returned soldiers. This was a project of the cemetery and the Great War Veterans' Association. The first interment in this plot was made on August 5th, 1917. (Toronto Star - Sept. 14, 1917).

A Cross of Sacrifice is central to the Veterans' plot at Prospect. This Cross was unveiled on Sunday June 4th, 1922. (Toronto Star - June 3, 1922).

This stone is marked as follows:

IN LOVING MEMORY OF
PTE. DAVID BRODIE
DIED JAN. 31, 1920
AGED 25 YEARS

Pte. Brodie is remembered on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, but he is not named on the Canadian Virtual Memorial even though he is buried in Toronto, Canada.
