Nursing Sister A. Gregory may have served at Buxton. This has not been confirmed, but she is the only Nursing Sister on file known as A. Gregory and with enlistment falling within the right time frame. The first war hospital diary entry (see below) mentions an A. E. Gregory, but this could have been a typo. A later diary entry (see below) uses the name A. R. Gregory. Further research is required to make the connection clear, but it seems likely that nurse A. R. Gregory did work at Buxton.

For example, this page for a diary entry dated April 17th, 1916 reports "The next addition to the Staff was the transfer of five Nursing Sisters who at once took over the organization of the ward equipment. These Ladies were Nursing Sisters, J. A. McNulty, W. Dowding, M. Ashley, A. E. Gregory, and V. A. Sewell, and they also took over the work of stamping, and sewing in silk the name of the Hospital on all linen that had to that time been delivered."

An entry on this page states for 1916 states: "Aug. 31st. Two Nursing Sisters are taken off the strength, and are transferred to France. These Sisters being V. A. Sewell, and A. R. Gregory who were of the first arrivals here of the Nursing Staff."
