Previous service with Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service ( QAIMNS ). Nine months service at Malta; six months at Salonika No. 61 General Hospital; and three (or 5?) months at No. 41 General Hospital.
On May 12th, 1917, the following article appeared in the Toronto Star newspaper:
Quebec Nurse Lost on Transport.
Sherbrooke, Que., May 12. -- Nurse Edna Day, who is reported to have been lost with a British Transport off Malta, was formerly connected with the Sherbrooke Hospital. She was a graduate of the institution, and later acted as assistant superintendent for three years.

Note: Although I cannot completely confirm that this newspaper article refers to the same person as the attestation transcribed on this database entry, it is a possibility.
Both the CWGC and Canadian Virtual Memorial do not have a Nursing Sister named Edna Day listed as having died as a result of her military service. Further research needs to be completed to determine both who the newspaper article refers to, and if the nurse mentioned in this article was later found alive.
