GREGORY-ALLEN, LEONORA; Provincial Royal Jubilee, Hospital, Victoria, B.C. Daughter of Mrs. Gregory-Allen, 1243 Oscar St., Victoria, B.C.; Arts 1906-1907; Gazetted August, 1915; on Active Service, October, 1916; Work-point Barracks, Esquimalt, seven months; Overseas, May, 1917; transport Ausonia; torpedoed 80 miles south of Ireland; picked up by mine-sweeper and after nine hours transferred to a torpedo-boat destroyer; landed at Queenstown; Bramshott until December; France, December, 1917; No. 9 Stationary Hospital, St. Omer; bombed and shelled in Spring Drive of 1918; moved to Etaples; No. 1 General Hospital, Etaples until May, 1918, when the hospital area was almost destroyed by bombs; attached No. 2 General Hospital Le Treport for a few weeks and later transferred to No. 59 British C.C.S., until the Armistice; No. 2 General Hospital Le Treport until transferred to England, March, 1919; stationed at Taplow and Beechhill near Windsor; returned from overseas July, 1919; discharged at Toronto, remaining on the R.O. List.
