Son of Samuel Hamilton and Margaret Jane Hamilton of Cobden, Ontario
DIED OF WOUNDS During an attack on September 29th, 1918, and when in charge of a Lewis Gun, he was leading his Section to the attack, after having crossed the main Douai-Cambrai Road, and when in front of the village of Sailly, he was hit by a machine gun bullet which penetrated his stomach. His wound was dressed by a Stretcher Bearer who was with him and he was carried to the Regimental Aid Post, thence to No. 30 Casualty Clearing Station, where he died from his wounds the following day.
