Uploader's Notes: Born 4 March 1890 in Digby, Nova Scotia. Son of John L.l and Mary Van Tassel of Digby, Nova Scotia. Enlisted in St. John, New Brunswick 5 November 1914. Sustained Gun Shot Wound Leg and Neck on 13 February 1916 and Shrapnel in the Back on 30 March 1916. Recouperated and returned to action after both injuries.
