According to the Toronto Star (Feb. 20/17), Nursing Sister Marjorie Whitaker was serving at 1st Southern General Hospital, Birmingham, England. Her brother, Lt. Herbert Atherton Whitaker, of Calgary, had served with the Canadian Machine Gun Corps and died October 25, 1916. Another brother, Major Guy Whitaker, was also in service. All three were from London, Ontario, but were well known in Toronto.

Their parents were:

William Charles Whitaker and Elsie Francis Whitaker, of 238, Pall Mall St., London, Ontario.

There is also a Marjorie Bruce Whittaker listed as a V.A.D. Nurse with a different father - odd.
