[Private Army Canadian Infantry 101st Battalion C Company Sailed with the 101st Battalion aboard SS Olympic from Halifax to Liverpool, June 28 to July 06, 1916. Posted to East Sandling Camp on arrival.
Private Army Canadian Infantry 17th Reserve Battalion Private Army Canadian Infantry 43rd Battalion

Proceeded to France on being posted. Joined the 43rd Battalion at Bray on November 19.

January 17 to February 04, 1917, attached to 3rd Trench Mortar Battery as part of a carrying party. April 17, was wounded in the right arm and shoulder by shrapnel. He was hospitalized in France until discharged on June 24. He rejoined the 43rd Battalion on July 26 at Camblain l'Abbe. Granted leave to England, November 09-18.

Granted leave to Paris, September 16-26, 1918. Killed in action two days after returning while doing a reconnaissance at Marcoing Trench, Bourlon Wood.
